Our actions now can provide future generations with the resources to most effectively further God’s Kingdom on Earth.
The Central United Methodist Church Foundation Fund is a perpetual fund (endowment) established December 8, 1960 by our church’s Administrative Board and the Board of Trustees. The objective of the Foundation Fund is to conserve the principal and make use only of the income from investment. The income can only be expended for authorized purposes outside of the church’s Annual Operating Budget. The Foundation Fund is a lasting way for us to support our church. With your help, we can enrich the lives of our congregation and community for generations to come.
Why Do We Need a Foundation Fund?
An established and growing church with extensive facilities faces increasing financial demands for the proper upkeep of the church properties. An adequate Foundation Fund can assist in meeting these demands. It can relieve the pressure placed upon the Operating Budget and provide more funds for the church to move forward in programming, missions, and education. By having income available for special needs or unforeseen problems, the Foundation Fund is a key component of Central’s long-term financial well being.
When you participate in this endowment program, you may realize significant tax benefits and/or savings to estate costs. Gifts to the Central United Methodist Foundation Fund can be made in many ways:
- Direct contributions to the Fund - Give Online Now
- Through wills and legacies
- Honorariums and memorial gifts
- Gifts of real property
- Gifts of Marketable Securities
- Gifts of Life Insurance
- Charitable Remainder Trusts
