Our Haywood Street Campus

In November 2006, Central United Methodist Church and Haywood Street United Methodist Church merged creating two campuses under the name of Central United Methodist Church.  The joining of these two historic downtown churches has strengthened both church bodies as they remain bold communities for Christ.

Join Us at The Haywood Street Congregation

The Haywood Street Congregation is an outreach ministry at the Haywood Street campus of Central UMC (297 Haywood Street).  Diversity in Asheville is multidimensional.  As significant as racial and ethnic diversity is, there is a stark contrast between wealth and poverty that exists in the downtown community.  The Haywood Street Congregation seeks to be a place of welcome to all.  Please join us for a meal, worship service and/or to volunteer and experience the wonderful fellowship that The Haywood Street Congregation is all about!
