United Methodist Women

Our Mission

The largest women’s organization in the world, the United Methodist Women (UMW), emphasizes services for women, youth and children by supporting missions in thousands of communities in every state and in over 50 countries around the world.

UMW are a community of believers in God and disciples of Christ who are called to deepen their personal faith and to provide vital corporate ministries of worship, education, mission, fellowship, and evangelism in the church and the world. 

Purpose

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

You Are Invited  

All women are invited to join one of the 11 UMW circles at Central Church.  Come join women just like you—women of all ages; single and married; working and retired; moms, grandmothers and even great grandmothers. We are women who love to travel, quilt, cook, garden, read, do crafts, enjoy music and the arts. We learn from each other and make life-long friends.
