Central United Methodist Church offers meaningful, powerful worship experiences every week through both traditional and contemporary worship services.
Traditional Worship
Sunday Morning Services 8:45 a.m. & 10:55 a.m.
Traditional-style worship services are held Sunday mornings in the main church sanctuary at 8:45 and 10:55 a.m. An outstanding, full music program includes the adult Chancel Choir, pipe organ and often performances by the children’s choirs, hand bell choir and brass orchestra. Thought-provoking, scripture-based sermons are provided by our ministers.
A nursery for infants is available for all services. Midway through the 10:55 service a special time of worship and fellowship is available for children ages two – second grade. These children are invited to attend Joyful Times and Young Discoverers following the Children’s Time message.

Saturdays @ 6 Worship Service
Saturdays @ 6 is a relaxed, contemporary worship service in the heart of Asheville.  Our mission for Saturdays @ 6 is to create an environment where you can encounter the living Christ.  We believe you’ll be able to connect with a here-and-now God through exciting, energetic worship music.

Come as you are – Saturday afternoon casual or suit and tie – for this hour-long worship service in the fellowship hall. Feed your spirit before you feed your stomach at a 7:30 p.m. dinner reservation! All age groups are welcome, and child care is provided. We invite you to join us every Saturday night at 6 p.m.

Do you like to sing or play an instrument? Consider joining our worship leadership team by contacting Saturdays @ 6 Worship Leader Grady Wiley (828-551-3145).
